Balloon Eclipse! My Shot of the Day. July 6, 2012

I shot this balloon eclipse from the cliff overhanging the John Dunn Bridge and the Rio Grande, 700 feet below.

It is an iphone shot and while I love this image I’m not terribly happy with the quality.  I allowed myself to get caught in the middle of a lens change on my Nikon D3000. I knew the shot I wanted but I made the mistake of going for the lens change at the last minute.

The Pueblo Balloon Company offers amazing balloon rides over the high desert of Taos County, New Mexico  in their three hot air balloons – they go year round.

And get this…..when you land?  Champagne.
