My Shot of the Day: Classic New Mexico. I Love You.

Classic New Mexico.

Although I was born and raised in Colorado – FOURTH Generation – I have this incredibly painful love affair with New Mexico.  And she is not kind. Land of Enchantment?  Try Land of Entrapment.  New Mexico is the kind of place that grabs your soul and never lets go.

Here is Classic New Mexico.

Monday morning. Rio Grande Gorge north of Taos.

I hope your day is fabulous!

I long for the day when I can again see New Mexico. I was seven when I first (and last) visited many years ago. I still remember the beauty of it. Living 1000+ miles away is a bit of a downer when thinking about it. I do have family friends in Rio Rancho, so the possibility of visiting again is certainly in the future. Thanks for the post!

Amanda, I'm really glad you dropped by. I put up alot of NM photos so do come back please! It is an amazing place. Gorgeous. And yet it is a hard, complicated and emotional place too. Its like being in a very difficult marriage. Welcome when you come!

I was just there, drove through 6 states & hiked for a while looking for some photos to take in Santa Fe, it was lovely. We do live in a very beautiful country.

Thank you Jim. I am working on my website so most of my photos I only put up on FB for a short time. Do you leave yours on always? Your pictures are perfect for NM, they show your emotion for the area, which is really genius.

My cousin and her family live in Albuquerque. She always sends photos of hot air balloons. I've always thought it's NM's only mode of transportation :)
