Spectacular image! Blanca Massif is located at the southern end of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, in Colorado, yes? Is this a view from near your home in New Mexico? Or, are you in Colorado?

Yes. This is the southern end of Colorado’s version of the Sangres. They sit just above Ft. Garland. This is not the view from my home, but its only a 30 minute drive, just inside Colorado.

John Mata – I have not. All around the base and up in those valleys but not to the top.

I know this shot well. From left to right its Little Bear, Blanca, and Lindsey. There is a jeep trail on the west side that goes nearly to the top, but its rugged and tight in spots.
