Many people enjoy the freedom of being able to travel around the country in a caravan or trailer when they go on holiday. There are several advantages of travelling in a caravan that you don’t get on a regular style of vacation.

Here are some of the advantages of traveling in a caravan:

You have your own moving accommodations – When you on a vacation, it is not uncommon for the accommodations to be one of the most expense aspects of it. Hotels can cost, for instance, hundreds of dollars a night, but if you own a caravan, you usually can either find a place to part overnight for free or pay a small fee to stay in a camping area. Some come equipped with their own cooking and bathroom areas, while other don’t. It all depends on what you want and the amount of money you want to spend. You get to meet interesting people – When you travel in a caravan you get a great opportunity to meet all sorts of people that most likely you would not see in a fancy hotel. For instance, many gypsies and others who like to constantly move around the countryside can be found if you go caravan traveling. It’s the perfect venue to make some new and interesting friends and learn about other cultures.

Come and Go and you please — Plus you have the freedom to come and go as you please, even if you suddenly decide in the middle of the night that you want to pack up and move out and go elsewhere. It’s easy to do if you are traveling in a caravan trailer and you don’t have to worry about leaving something in your “room” like you do at a hotel, because you have your own home on wheels and everything is self-contained.

It’s easier to travel with pets – One of the best things about caravan travel is that you have the freedom to bring your pets with you no matter if you have a dog, cat or other type of beloved pet. With a caravan you don’t have to search the world over for a pet friendly lodging and you don’t have to pay extra fees even if you find one. Just bring Fido or Fluffy along and be sure to bring a leash and have an identification tag and collar in case they get away during your trip.
