My Shot of the Day: Midnight Duck. Helsinki Finland
Tonight I set out to capture the Aurora Borealis from the coast near the Mehlahti section of Helsinki Finland – but that didn’t work out so well. A brief snowstorm appeared from some thick, pink clouds and my exhausted, jet-lagged brain just gave up. As I trudged back to my friend Rasmus’ flat I saw these ducks. It was just after midnight and I thought only about my bed – well, Rasmus’ couch, really but I could have fallen asleep anywhere. Then, there were these ducks. These ducks, saddled up in a clearing in the ice, lit by the city in the background.
They made for a funky, surreal image that I liked alot.
I shot this at ISO 400, f/5, 13s.
