Jim O’Donnell’s Photography Highlighted on European Destinations

Last week, the travel website European Destinations highlighted my photography and conducted what turned out to be a very nice interview.

Most of his photos have a – not exactly dull but quite dark if I may say – inspiring atmosphere surrounding them that makes them so beautiful and are literally breathtaking. The lack of excessive colour – or more apropriate, the balance of the colours -give the photo a more natural view and urge the eye focus on the detail and objects in the photograph which are most important. And that exactly make Jim’s O’Donnell photography magic. Generally I believe that all of his photos have some certain quality with his style and mark on them; As if when someone look at one of them they would immediately say ” Oh, that’s Jim O’Donnell “. Having your personal style and touch is of vital importance if you would like to be called a photographer, and a skilled photographer should be able to put his/her signature on his work.
