My Shot of the Day – Monsoon Sunrise
In August, tropical moisture is pulled up from the Gulf of California region into the Southwestern USA. For about a month, we get the most amazing afternoon thunderstorms followed by the most beautiful sunrises in the world. The air is humid, the high desert soil gurgles and every living thing is in bloom. By early September, most of this moisture has re-patterned and we are back to almost 24/7 of cloudless blue sky.
