My Shot of the Day: Winter's Fence for Barb
Today’s photo is dedicated to my friend Barbara Wold, who passed yesterday afternoon. Barb was the owner of the influential progressive blog Democracy for New Mexico. Barb had always been a strong supporter of my writing and she stood by me when my political work and views resulted in the loss of a job and numerous friends. If you can, drop by Democracy for New Mexico and donate a few dollars in Barb’s name so that her vital work can continue.
Yet another large storm is on tap for today here in northern New Mexico. Winter storm warnings extend across much of the state as well as Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas. The wind should starting picking up here in a bit. A brutal 50mph is in the forecast. We should see another three inches in the center of Taos and ten or more up in the mountains. The drought is hardly over, but thus far, this wet winter has helped.
The snow began falling about 15 minutes ago.
