Havana Imagined!
Join me for one of my photography tours to Cuba with Espiritu Travel. Good price, great fun, amazing shots!
In November 2017 I will lead a 7-day, 8-night photography tour to Cuba through Espiritu Travel. The Havana Imagined Photo Tour is ideal for both experienced and amateur photographers. We will spend 7 days and 8 nights exploring this incredible city from its colonial heart to its markets, plazas and neighborhoods. We will experience the city from top down and bottom up. We will see areas most tourists never see and meet some of its most interesting inhabitants. The Havana Imagined Photo Tour highlights street photography but we will also have many opportunities for panoramas, food photography, portraits, dancers and more. When you arrive home, you will have images of Cuba’s stunning capital that few tourists ever have an opportunity to achieve.
This tour is limited to 10 people (8 spaces left). BOOK NOW
This photography tour to Cuba will also serve as a workshop where I will help you to get the captures you desire. We will have our own Cuban guide and Havana native, my friend Yisel Perez. We will stay Cuban homes, not in hotels and meet some of today’s best Cuban photographers. A detailed itinerary day-by-day can be found here.
We will begin with a panoramic tour of the city in classic American cars, stopping along the way for panoramic shots. After that you’ll want to move your body and so we will enjoy a walking tour of Fuente de la India, Parque de la Fraternidad, Capitolio, Gran Teatro Alicia Alonso, Parque Central where we will have a chance for some photography with the vintage cars. Finally, we will end out busy morning atop the Bacardi Building for rooftop, panorama photography. We will check out some of the more hidden aspects of the great city. First we visit a Santero House where we will learn more about the unique religion with a short lecture about Santeria. Then we will head to Callejon where we will have musicians and dancers perform for us while we play with our cameras! Finally, we will enjoy sunset at the Fabrica de Arte Cubano where we can photograph an old Iron bridge and boats on the river.

We will also visit the 10 de Octubre neighborhood on this photography tour to Cuba with our guide, who lives in the neighborhood and enjoy a photo session with ballerinas in an old mansion in the Vedado neighborhood with natural afternoon sunlight. We will visit the Taller Experimental de Grafica de la Havana, Cuba’s cutting-edge art workshop known particularly for its unique engraving processes. We will get to see and photograph some of the masters of Cuban art at work and work our skills at a boxing gym for some gritty street photography of fighters in practice as well as portraits of practitioners of this important part of Cuban culture.
We’re going to have fun, eat great food and learn a lot both about Cuba, the lovely people of this amazing nation and photography! If you have any questions, drop them in the comment section below and I’ll answer right away.
