Spring Rainstorm Pictures – My Shot of the Day – April 1, 2013

spring rainstorm pictures

Friday late afternoon saw a series of small but intense little storms rush over the Taos area bringing some stiff winds, a little bit of thunder, some large, spotty and cold rain drops (not much beyond that)  in town – and even some light snow in the mountains southeast of town.

I took these shots from the Taos Gorge Bridge (see here, here and here) as the storms rolled away to the southeast.  Spring rainstorm pictures can be spectacular.  The above is looking south from the bridge just before sunset Friday evening (March 29, 2013).  The shot below was about 40 minutes earlier as the last of the little storms moved southeast of me.  The bottom one came well after sunset looking west north west.

Spring rainstorms no matter, they aren’t enought to change this situation.
