Taos Mountain, New Mexico – My Shot of the Day – November 23, 2013
A major winter storm is moving in on us from the southwest today. I took this picture of Taos Mountain at 1:35pm today as the storm came in. Here is another shot of Taos Mountain that I have for sale: “Mountain Light – Taos”
From the National Weather Service:
BOTTOM LINE:
MAJOR WINTER STORM & HIGH IMPACT WINTER WEATHER EXPECTED
HEAVY SNOW likely for much of northern and central New Mexico especially
late Saturday through Sunday night.TIMING:
Snow showers will continue through tonight, perhaps some Freezing Rain or
Sleet across the southeast plains. However, BIG TIME IMPACTS will come
Saturday Afternoon through Sunday/Sunday Night.IMPACTS:
WIDESPREAD HEAVY SNOW across much of northern and central NM — with
biggest amounts across the northern and western high terrain.
Of course, the kids and I are bundling up and heading back out into the storm just for fun. Then its hot chocolate and beef stew and sitting by the heater.
